The hottest supper clubs, events and residencies sweeping London’s restaurants right now

It can be hard enough hitting all the restaurants on your must-visit-in-London list, but getting to all the food-related events? Near impossible. The city’s chefs, restaurateurs, cocktail pros and wine buffs are always cooking something up, whether it’s a one-off collaborative menu or a long-running kitchen takeover, and you’ve usually gotta act fast to be in attendance. And it’s not just restaurants, there are countless supper clubs in the capital, often run by chefs as a supplement to the day job, where you’ll find some of the most exciting menus in the city – you might find them flying just under your radar.

So how do you start filling your diary? The answers are in this guide, where we regularly collect all the latest and greatest food events in the city and drop them here. Toklas Bakery x Dough Hands

Hannah Drye is bringing Dough Hands to central London with this two night pop-up at Toklas Bakery. She’ll be doing pizza by the slice – toppings include white pie with Calabrian chilli & hot honey and pepperoni & pickled peppers – alongside wedge Caesars and tomato, tahini and salted ricotta salads. There’ll be £5 negronis on offer and passionfruit & coconut ice cream sandwiches from the Toklas Bakery team for pud.

Toklas Bakery X Sorona Taqueria Summer Party

Toklas Bakery joins forces with Taco Heros Sonora Taquería for a one-night-only Sonoran summer party, celebrating the flavours of northern Mexico. Guests can expect authentic tacos, fresh tortillas de harina, and a lineup of smoky mezcals and sharp tequila cocktails. The team from Sonora will be serving up a special menu, hot off the plancha. Tickets include two agave-based drinks and a complimentary mini burrito – choose between beef floss with refried beans or a vegetarian option packed with melted cheese and beans.

Aidan & Friends at Half Cut Market

Head to the York Way Riviera this summer for a new guest chef series at Half Cut Market. Head Chef Aidan Richardson is bringing in some mates he’s worked with in previous kitchens to cook up a collab menu over two nights. First up was Frankie Clarke from Camille, cooking up dishes inspired by his British-Jamaican heritage, followed by Adam Viguier Juarez from Bottleshop in Amsterdam and Ciaran Patrick of Bodega in Amsterdam, with and Moray Lamb from Montrose in Edinburgh still to come.

Smokey Birra Tacco Party

Chef Ruben (of Ruben’s Reubens) returns to Naughty Piglets for a one-day-only smokey birria taco party. There’ll be just 100 portions (two tacos per serving) available, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. Guests can dive into the wine list or opt for a splash of something special from a couple of magnums poured by the glass but the start of the show will be the spicy margaritas which will be flowing all day.

Flavour Fred’s Flavour-led Foraging Walks

Across select dates across August and September – guests are invited to take part in the exploration of wild ingredients through flavour-led foraging walks across Hampstead Heath. Sessions will cover identification, safety, folklore, preservation techniques and responsible foraging, with tastings, samples, and post-walk resources included in the experience. Each walk offers a chance to learn about seasonal plants and fungi, their culinary potential, and their ecological context.

Eat Momo’s Momo Parties

Eat Momo is bringing back its momo parties for a second series this summer, with a new batch of guest chefs putting their spin on the Nepalese dumpling. First up is Jay Claus and Syrus Pickhaver, founders of Rake, who’ll be doing a seasoned ray wing fried momo, with spicy golden syrup and a ranch dipping sauce. Following them will be Angela Hui with her pickled snow cabbage and shredded pork vermicelli rice noodles in a momo form with a chilli garlic sauce, and Xanthe Ross with her confit aubergine and ricotta momo with a heritage tomato sauce.

LUTO at The Pilgrim

Paddington hotel The Pilgrim is launching a new chef residency series and it’s kicking off with a three-month pop-up from Filipino-British concept LUTO, led by Mary San Pablo. Her menu blends British produce and South East Asian flavours, with dishes like blackened pork belly with brown butter and pineapple; pickled garlic cucumbers with coconut & cashew ajo blanco; half-charred mackerel bicol express; short rib kare kare with peanut & bagoong sauce and wild garlic salsa verde; and leche flan.

Close Ties x Gorka

The Close Ties pair (Joshua Bratt of Carousel & Jake Norman of Trullo) is teaming up with Gorka (George Husband & George Brown) for its next event, Aftertaste at Hideout, the new space at Hackney Wick’s Number 90. The night will kick off with a three-course dinner from Gorka, with dishes like sea bass carpaccio with plum, sugar pit pork with smoked romesco, and coconut rice pudding, before the likes of Alec Falconer, Meg Paine and Dan GT hit the decks.

Elies Salva Ruiz de Villegas at Jazu Bar

Mallorcan chef and former Black Axe Mangal cook Elies is in residence at Jazu Bar, bringing a taste of the Balearics to Deptford. The menu, which includes the likes of Spanish tortilla with XO sauce, grilled octopus hotdog with mojo rojo, cold smoked raw prawns and black rice with fried soft shell crab, is giving “comforting grandma food with drunk uncle garnish”.

Utopia Bagels at Truffle Burger

The South Bank outpost of Truffle Burger is continuing its collab series with NYC’s Utopia Bagels. Running since 1981, these guys are bagel legends and they’ve shipped over a load of fresh bagels to give Londoners a real taste of New York. You can get them filled with the likes of bacon, egg & cheese; sausage, egg & cheese; and salmon, cream cheese, tomato, onion & capers, plus hash browns on the side, or you can buy plain or everything bagels to take home.

Kaunter at Giacco’s

After doing pop-ups and residencies around town, Jemma Harrison is launching her own concept called Kaunter, which’ll be in residence at Giacco’s for four months. Named after the German Yiddish word for countertop, as a nod to her Jewish heritage, and inspired by the idea of people gathering in a buzzy space, Kaunter will be serving a menu that mixes New York deli with Eastern Europe.

KOL x Atomix

Two-Michelin-star Korean restaurant Atomix, aka the best restaurant in America, is coming from NYC to London for one day only this August to for a lunch and dinner service at KOL. The one-off collab menu will include dishes from both Atomix’s chef Junghyun Park and KOL’s Santiago Lastra, including gim bugak with sea urchin, white kimchi, marigold rice; sundubu with sweet shrimp, razor clam and chilli oil; lamb rack with koji mole, oxalis and purple carrot; and birch with koji, apple and buttermilk.

Quince Bakery’s Pie Party

Quince is bringing its pie party back for another year and you won’t wanna miss it. Swing by for pies from Anna Higham, Fiona Fitzpatrick, Cissy Difford, Gemma Staple, Stroma Sinclair, Lewis Basset, Chloe-Rose Crabtree, Louis Thompson and Hugo Harrison, plus scoops and tubs of ice cream from Quince and La Grotta.

Joyeta Ng at “mu”

Joyeta Ng (who’s spent time in the kitchen at Den in Tokyo, The Chairman in Hong kong and Kitchen Table in London) is taking up residence at “mu” on Mondays and Tuesdays this summer. Her menu is inspired by her Cantonese roots and includes dishes like fried stuffed chicken wings, prawn wontons and noodles, steamed fish with jasmine rice and Cantonese soup, mapo aubergine and master stock tofu.

Short Road x 180 Grammi’s Pizza Romana Party

1880 Grammi, one of Rome’s best pizzerias, is coming to London for the first time with Short Road’s pizza Romana party. Chef Jacapo Mecuro will be cooking up an exclusive menu, including Roman-inspired fried sides and pudding, with Exale Brewing beers to go with it all. It’s walk-ins only and they’ll be serving ’til sell out, so get there early.

Quality Wines & Friends

This summer, Quality Wines in Clerkenwell launches Quality Wines & Friends – a Sunday series of one-off collaborative menus with Head Chef Nick Bramham and a standout line-up of guest chefs. After kicking off with Tom Zahir (Decatur), there’s Adejoké Bakare (Chishuru), Sertaç Dirik (ex-Mangal II), Dara Klein (Tiella), Boutheina Ben Salem, and Melek Erdal. Weekdays also bring a refreshed lunch menu of seasonal Southern European dishes, served Tuesday to Saturday as a two or three-course set.

InterSteller BBQ at The Ned

Michelin-starred Texan BBQ restaurant InterStellar BBQ is coming across the pond for a month-long pop-up at The Ned’s Electric Bar & Diner, in collaboration with From the Ashes BBQ. There’ll only be one thing on the menu – a massive sharing platter that includes pulled lamb shoulder, confit duck leg, peach tea-glazed pork belly, beef short rib, and chilli & cheese sausage (with an optional extra of wagyu brisket) plus slaw, beans, beef fat potatoes, Texas toast, and banana pudding for dessert.

Aulis London & Oil Marlow’s 20/20/20

This September, Simon Rogan’s Michelin-starred chef’s table, Aulis London, will host 20/20/20 a one-off charity dinner featuring 20 chefs, 20 courses, and £20 raffle tickets. Spearheaded by executive chef Oli Marlow, the event takes place on Sunday 14th September at the intimate Soho space. Just six lucky winners (plus a guest each) will be selected at random to attend, with all proceeds going to industry charity Hospitality Action. Each chef – including Adam Byatt (Trinity), Adam Smith (Coworth Park), Andi Oliver (Great British Menu), Angelo Sato (Humble Chicken), and Ashley Palmer-Watts – will serve one dish or snack, making for a truly unique tasting experience. Tickets are available to purchase online via Hospitality Action for one month starting Monday 14th July. Winners will be announced the following week.

Pecking House at Double Standard

Hyped NYC fried chicken spot Pecking House, founded by former Eleven Madison Park sous chef Eric Huang, is popping up at Double Standard for the rest of the summer. Starting out as a delivery-only pop-up during the pandemic, Pecking House has garnered a legion of fans for its Taiwanese-American fried chicken. Eric’s signature fried chicken with duck fat chilli oil will be on the menu, alongside his Chinatown Chicken Sandwich, with smoky mayo, pickles and pork floss, smacked cucumbers, and coconut rice pudding.
