2025 in the Age of Aquarius
The focus in 2024 was firmly orientated upon the two revolutionary signs – Scorpio and Aquarius. Aquarius and Scorpio detract from the mainstream and promote change, revolution and Aquarius promotes unusual circumstances including disruption. Trump has been labeled The Great Disrupter.[1] The combination of Aquarius and Scorpio manifested specifically in 2024 with the election of Donald Trump as president of the USA. In addition, Scorpio promoted the extensive cost-of-living crisis affecting much of the world. Most governments that held fair and free elections in this timeframe fell as dissatisfaction was in the air. People who feel poor are rarely happy, and enough American voters were unhappy at the 2024 US presidential elections. Such was their dissatisfaction, American swing voters wanted to elect someone to be their agent of change. The Democrats were not perceived as agents of change by enough voters.
Cancer micro-age and overflow (2000 – 2014 – 2029)
Sitting a little deeper than both Scorpio and Aquarius was the ongoing Cancer micro-age overflow (2014 – 2029) which continues to place a focus on China, the Middle East, Islam and the repudiation of authority, authority figures and wisdom (see Table 1 above). This anti-wisdom and anti-rational environment continues to widely promote conspiracy theories as many people, especially in the USA, give more credence to their opinions as opposed to facts they don’t like. The USA is particularly prone to conspiracy theories, drugs, deceit and deception (alternative facts) because its strongest sign is Pisces as the USA is the empire of the Pisces-Aquarius age – the correct name for the current Age of Aquarius. Pisces is also the sign that represents corporations, which is why the USA is the corporate capital of the world.
Under Cancer, a major issue is always masses of people seeking a new homeland, and this became one of the main election issues in the USA. The astrological evidence is that the USA will ultimately merge into Greater Latino America, but it will take many centuries before this is realized. While some people are trying to cross the border, Cancer makes the incumbents hypersensitive and thus the immigration conundrum of recent times is created. Under Cancer, politics operates under the lowest common denominator as the power sits with the ‘common’ people. This dumbed-down reality will continue into 2025 and beyond.
Donald Trump won the election because he harnessed the energy of Scorpio, Aquarius and Cancer and behaved like the progressive or revolutionary party of idealism with the excitement of his followers palpable. Aquarius can move mountains, and this is what Trump has achieved at the election, but he does not have a corresponding track record in office.
On the Democrat side, they took the middle-of-the-road position and therefore behaved like the conservatives in the room. If the Democrats were in tune with the times, they could have rallied behind someone like Bernie Sanders. Just because Trump harnessed the revolutionary zeal of the times does not mean he will not create a lot of damage. Only in America would a purported billionaire be the champion of the working class and assign another billionaire, Elon Musk, to work out how to cut services to those most in need – the working class. The American working class was basically economically disenfranchised by the American political establishment, particularly the anti-socialistic Republican Party, but it didn’t help when Hillary Clinton called them the Deplorables.
During the Aquarius micro-age and overflow (Dec 2014 -Dec 2019 – Nov 2024) a grifter has come along to channel their revolutionary energy – but a grifter is deceitful by nature. The working class electorate is not politically sophisticated so when they hold the power, wild cards can appear. It must be remembered that the USA is the empire of the Pisces-Aquarius age, and this means that the USA is more enamored of the glamor of democracy than the reality. This is why traditionally, the American political establishment has deplored socialism. In contrast, most Western nations have deep and entrenched socialistic policies such as free health, high-quality free education and entrenched welfare policies. The American working class is far worse off than their compatriots in most other Western nations. They are also lied to about this inequitable state of affairs between the parlous state of the American worker compared to the average European worker.
The Aquarius micro-age and overflow (Dec 2014 -Dec 2019 – Nov 2024) is a preview of the approaching behemoth of the Aquarius sub-age decan and overflow (2029 – 2088 – 2149) which is when the current Age of Aquarius is christened. America has deep troubles looming much later this century. The seed for the temporary toppling of the US government later this century has been sown over the last decade. The next 5 years will most likely be marked by political conflict in the USA under the Libra micro-age decan overflow but the excitement of Trump’s first term and election campaign for his second term is unlikely to be fulfilled over the next 5 years due to the absence of Aquarius. However, with the arrival of the Aquarius sub-age decan and overflow (2029 – 2088 – 2149) this suggests that Trump has opened Pandora’s box, and the underlying revolutionary zeal Trump has unleashed will be the defining political sentiment in the USA for the rest of this century. The American working class has had a taste of revenge.
Libra nano-age (Aug 2023 – Nov 2024 – Feb 2026)
The arrival of the Libra nano-age overflow in November 2024 is a major development because this Libra nano-age sits within the Libra micro-age decan and overflow (Dec 2019 – Nov 2024 – Nov 2029) which moves into its more potent overflow stage for the period November 2024 until November 2029 as the following Table 3 indicates.
Table 3 – The Gemini micro-age (and overlapping Cancer micro-age overflow) indicates that in November 2024, the Libra micro-age moves into its more powerful overflow mode.
Furthermore, this Libra nano-age and Libra micro-age decan sits within both the Libra sub-age (1970 – 2149) which itself sits at a critical point in the massive Libra age decan and overflow (1433 – 2149 – 2865) – see Table 4 below:
The period November 2024 to November 2029 forms a critical part of the Libra age-decan backbone and will probably be one of the most potent periods for most readers alive today other than those alive during the two decades surrounding 1970 – what colloquially is termed the Age of Aquarius. It was actually the peak of the Scorpio sub-age and overflow (1791 – 1970 – 2148) combining revolutionary Scorpio with revolutionary Aquarius and accounting for that massive cultural revolution that continues to pulsate through Western society today. Much of the MAGA sentiment is diametrically opposed to the ethos of the Age of Aquarius revolution of the 1960s and 70s.
The last time the world experienced a Libra micro-age decan overflow was from 1915 to 1920 aligned with most of the First World War. [see The Backbone of the Libra Age-Decan (1433 – 2149) ]. The prior Libra period coincided with the American Civil War and so Libra can drive the USA crazy. Most of the worst conflicts in the Age of Aquarius have been associated with Libra. There is a good astrological reason why the prospect of a major war or conflict is gaining ground. The current unrest between Palestinians and Israelis is in addition to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia which brought the most significant conflict back to Europe since the Second World War. As one historian stated (Yuval N Harrari), the Third World War may have already started when Russia invaded Ukraine, but if this is the case, we will not know it until it possibly significantly escalates. The world since early October 2023 now has two areas of greater tension than the normal African or South American wars or insurrections that always seem to exist. Either of these two major conflagrations could lead to a much bigger conflict, or these two conflicts are setting a trend towards greater than average conflicts, and one or more new heightened conflicts could appear at any time and any one of these conflicts could get out of control. This has been particularly potent commencing in November 2024 when the Libra nano-age entered its overflow period and marks the start of the most potent time of conflict most people alive today will experience in their lives.
We should expect some developments in December 2024 or the following few months. Sometimes Libra produces a major peace treaty but usually after great conflict. The announcement of a 60-day peace treaty between Israel and Lebanon commencing around 27 November 2024 may be an early indication of the arrival of Libra at its peak – which technically should commence before the end of November 2024. It is very possible that Libra will promote the promised trade war between the USA and China. At least a trade war just promotes economic calamities and so this should be considered the lesser of two evils.
In Donald Trump’s initial foray into politics in 2015, he was able to draw upon both Cancer and Aquarius, and he was also able to do the same in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential elections. Aquarius has now left the field, and so his second presidency will be different to his first presidency. In place of Aquarius will be Libra. Instead of excitement and erratic behavior, Trump is likely to be more confrontational and divisive as this is an attribute of Libra periods. It was due to this excessive divisiveness, that I thought this meant Trump would lose the presidential elections and incite his followers to hit the streets and even start a civil war of some type as he threatened. However, with Trump in the White House, this suggests a far greater role for the legal system, especially in the USA, as a bulwark against any excesses Trump will attempt. It is the liberals that may be up in arms!
Libra also promotes the reinstatement or elevation of the role of women. While this is currently limited to mainly Western and modern nations, full social, legal and political equality remains elusive even in Western nations, and dwindles as we venture into Second World nations (Iran) with some reversals in Third World nations such as Afghanistan. The world is currently in the Libra decan (1433 – 2149) of the Aquarian age (1433 – 3581), but while much progress has been made with women’s rights, this evolution in the world will require the addition of the Libra age-decan overflow (2149 – 2865) to see women’s rights as an entrenched global phenomenon. This millennium is dedicated to women based on our place in the Age of Aquarius, but it will take most of the millennium to achieve. It was due to this Libra period that I incorrectly believed that Kamala Harris would become president, as Libra promotes women.
Libra specifically implies justice and equality, and as such has been the symbolic standard-bearer for post-Enlightenment equality and freedom in Western nations. The warrant issued against Benjamin Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court on 21 November 2024 for his alledge Gaza war crimes is another example of the new status of Libra in the world which will elevate the role of the judiciary, or place a greater focus on the judiciary, including the many fake justice systems that exist around the world by totalitarian governments.
All forms of art, beautiful objects, gardens, and the leisurely social life fall within Libra’s gambit, as does anything that brings harmony, softness, or gentleness—including most importantly, peace. Libra rules young women and girls. On the downside, Libran themes encompass indecisiveness and hesitation, which may impede political decision-making. Any archetype associated with Libra’s opposite sign Aries is, in general, lacking in Libra, therefore Libra is not associated with major engineering feats, sport, or male heroes. This is not a good omen for Trump’s coming performance as president as Libra will undermine alpha males and even the Olympic Games.
It is very possible that the first indication of the new status for Libra was the authorization by President Biden in mid-November 2024 allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles to fire into the Kursk region prompted by the buildup of Russian and North Korean soldiers preparing to attack Ukraine. In response, a senior Russian official stated this development was a very big step towards the start of World War Three. Though a world war associated with this Libra period cannot be ruled out, the 1st and 2nd World Wars were powered by a far stronger astrological precipitator that is not present in 2025.
Virgo nano-age and overflow (Nov 2024 – Feb 2026 – May 2027)
Too much emphasis should not placed on this Virgo nano-age and overflow in 2025 as it does not ascend to its powerful overflow mode until 2026. However, it does provide the seeds of what can be expected leading into the November 2026 midterm election in the USA. Virgo is the sign directly opposite Pisces, the main sign for the USA (and Europe), and it is likely to bring a stock market correction, crash or depressed economic conditions – but not a major economic calamity. Stock market bubbles rely upon Pisces for the delusionary upward spiral of stock prices, while Virgo introduces a touch of reality. [see The Dynamics of Economic Recessions in the Age of Aquarius ]
Virgo will make the public critical, and in the case of the USA, oppose the (Pisces) hyper-Americanism of Trump and his followers. Virgo also opposes mainstream Pisces USA. Though we should not overly emphasize Virgo’s ability to poke holes in delusionary bubbles in 2025, we could see the early stages of it. It’s not going to make swing voters in the USA very happy in the lead-up to the 2026 midterm elections.
The last Virgo nano-age and overflow (Apr 2011 – Jul 2012 – Oct 2013) appropriately produced MERS, as Virgo is associated with public health issues. MERS was really a cutdown form or preview of Covid-19 and even granted some MERS victims immunity from Covid-19. However, MERS had nothing like the impact of Covid-19. Covid 19 was empowered by the second half of the Aquarius micro-age decan and overflow (Dec 2014 – Dec 2019 – Nov 2024) which peaked in the very month of the arrival of Covid-19. This will probably indicate a fortunate turn of events for Leo UK and any nation with Leo credentials such as most of South America, France, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Sebia and Zimbabwe to name a few contenders.
Despite the strength of the new Virgo nano-age and overflow waiting until 2026 to flex its muscles, we can expect to see some early glimmers. Virgo may put some tentative dents into conspiracy theorists, oil industry, pharmaceuticals, the growing deceit of corporations, and the insidious role of espionage most pointedly conducted by Russia, China and other nations that resort to propaganda and lies to further their interests and aims – especially in trying to undermine Western democratic nations. Democracy is anathema to Pisces-orientated anti-democratic leaders.
Nano-age decans
As Table 5 indicates, there are three nano-age decans that the world will encounter within the newly arrived Virgo nano-age. The most relevant one for 2025 is the Capricorn nano-age decan and overflow (Apr 2025 – Sep 2025 – Feb 2026) as its strength will appear later in 2025. This will probably relate to the darkest hour in the USA under Trump and his minions as they exercise to their full force their flawed agenda to remake America in their image. As one commentator noted, Trump has a disastrous track record for achieving his political goals when he was president, as his main function was as a disrupter or destroyer. He was unable to enact his agenda in his last presidency, and his pick of lieutenants to carry out his wishes this time is even worse, so we should expect a lot of negativity, and very little productivity. In place of action, we should expect persecution and wrecking. The worst of it may be aligned to this Capricorn nano-age decan and overflow – especially the second half (Sep 2025 – Feb 2026).
Gemini micro-age (2014 – 2029)
The world is fast approaching a potent sub-age decan cusp in later 2029 which will play out over the following years. The arrival in 2029 of the peak of the Gemini sub-age decan (1970 – 2029 – 2088) will create the most powerful astrological configuration since the peaking in 1970 of the Scorpio sub-age and overflow (1791 – 1970 – 2149). The Gemini revolution has already hit the world with smartphones, social media, and a significant drop in ethical standards – and into this honesty vacuum comes Trump. Under Gemini, truth is relative, honesty is ridiculed and lies become truth. Combined with Cancer’s lowest common denominator, we can expect far more insidious behavior by politicians and corporations over the coming years and decades as they try and extract more and provide less.
Conclusion
The astrology for 2025 in the Age of Aquarius, (but really the Pisces-Aquarius age) indicates that the world cannot be much other than what we are currently experiencing. We live in an imperfect world, the world has always been imperfect, and it will be a novelty if a perfect world appears at some distant millennia in the future. Furthermore, change occurs much slower than a mere snap of the fingers. For example, it’s going to take most of this millennium for women to be given a semblance of equality around the world. Social and political change is slow, though there can be sudden spurts of activity such as the 1960s and 70s and the current working class revolution unleashed by Trump.
Since the arrival of the Age of Aquarius in the 15th century, Aquarius technology has made great leaps forward, but politics is slower to respond, so the world is politically more influenced by Pisces. In a thousand years, our time will probably be labeled the Age of Techno-Medievalism. Much of the world remains mired in medieval political scenarios, and even the USA under Trump is temporarily on a stronger Pisces bandwagon. Pisces doesn’t care about democracy and fairness, it just wants to display a glamorous front to support the ruling elite who due to their elevated sense of superiority, don’t mind persecuting and undermining any opposition and lining their own pockets. It’s an ugly scenario, and one that Putin wants to impose upon Ukraine. The big question – is Trump going to be a facilitator for this possible degradation of the integrity of the USA and Western nations in general or will he bumble through as he did the first time?

The Destiny of the USA
It is extremely unlikely that the USA will be successfully challenged by another nation in the first half of the Age of Aquarius, or more accurately, the first half of the Pisces-Aquarius age (1433 – 2507). Still, Pisces is a dual-bodied sign, unlike Ancient Rome as the empire of the Aries-Pisces age. Ancient Rome, empowered by Aries, got to vanquish its rival Carthage, and thus Ancient Rome was able to maintain its leading position until the midway point in the age (350 AD to be precise) whereupon it split into the Eastern and Western Roman Empires when Pisces increased its strength and very quickly the Western Roman empire fell to the barbarians. In contrast, the USA will not be able to vanquish China, as the main sign in our age is currently Pisces – a dual bodied sign. Also the Libra age-decan and overflow (1433 – 21. 49 – 2865) not only promotes China due to Libra’s role in its astrological signature but also promotes the balance of opposites.
The USA will probably have a major calamity later this century when it will temporarily fall, and Israel will most likely fall with it. The USA at least will get to pick up the pieces and reform itself for better or worse. Was the Roman Empire better or worse than the Roman Republic? A similar transition will occur in the USA towards the end of this century or early next century. Age empires such as Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome and most likely the USA don’t like age decan cusps and they are also vulnerable at the exact midway point in each age. The coming turmoil for the USA can be expected in the period 2088 to 2149. The Aquarius micro-age decan and overflow (Dec 2014 – Dec 2019 – Nov 2024) was a preview of what to expect towards the end of this century. Will it be a working class revolt or usurpation by American billionaires or both as Trump is attempting in his unholy alliance? The disruption towards the end of this century will make Covid-19 look like a Sunday School picnic.
The reason why we get caught off guard by pandemics and high-level conflict is due to the march of micro-ages and their decans. Every age has twelve sub-ages of around 178 years each, and these sub-ages have twelve micro-ages of almost 15 years each including three decans of almost five years each. Hardly anyone today has experienced the power of Libra before the Libra micro-age decan and overflow (Dec 19 – Nov 24 – Nov 29) as the last time the world experienced such a Libra period was from 1910 to 1920, so we do not have a collective memory of the direct experience of Libra at this level. The same occurred with the Covid-19 pandemic which correlated to the Aquarius micro-age decan overflow (Dec 19 – Nov 24) but the previous period when Aquarius had this strength was the Aquarius micro-age and overflow (1910 – 1925 – 1940) so very few people have experienced the extreme disruption Aquarius invariably brings in its wake. Before the Aquarius micro-age decan and overflow I did not realize that one of the main attributes introduced to an unsuspecting world by Aquarius is disruption – such as we experienced during the Covid times.
